WordPress Website Design for Kingston Psychology Clinic
Kingston Psychology Clinic is a private psychology practice based in Surbiton, Surrey. It offers specialist psychological therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, childhood trauma and women’s health concerns. The practice has been operating in the Kingston and Surbiton area for several years, building a strong reputation for professional, evidence-based psychological support.
When they first came to me, they had a basic WordPress template site that didn’t reflect the professional nature of the practice. It was functional but generic, fine for someone offering therapy from home, but not suitable for an established clinic with a growing team. They needed a website that clearly explained what the clinic offered, where they were based and who the team were. The kind of site to give potential clients confidence they were in the right place.
I built a custom WordPress website for the clinic in Kingston and we’ve worked together ever since. Most recently, after the practice moved from Kingston to Surbiton, enquiries dropped off. We did a substantial restructure of the site, adding around 12 new pages optimised for local search and specific therapy areas, which has resulted in roughly doubled website traffic and nearly doubled enquiries.

- Surbiton, Surrey | Private Psychology Practice | 2018-Present
- Kingston Psychology Clinic provides evidence-based psychological therapy for adults dealing with anxiety and phobias, depression, PTSD, childhood trauma, relationship issues and women’s health concerns.
- After eight years in Kingston, the practice relocated to Surbiton in 2025 and needed the website to recapture local search visibility.
The Challenge
- Generic free WordPress template didn’t reflect the professionalism of an established psychology practice
- Location change from Kingston to Surbiton caused enquiries to drop off
- Basic site structure didn’t give enough detail about specific conditions treated or therapies offered
