Website maintenance and support in Kingston and London
Most WordPress sites are one missed update away from a security problem. I offer three levels of ongoing monthly support for small and medium sized businesses, so you always have someone who knows your site and responds quickly. Every package includes full technical maintenance and direct access to me, not a support ticket system.

Why website maintenance?
WordPress, plugins and themes release updates constantly for security patches and new features. Without regular updates, your site becomes vulnerable to hacking, breaks from compatibility issues or stops working properly. Website maintenance helps prevent these problems before they happen. It's like servicing your car. Small regular checks prevent expensive breakdowns.

What's included
- Weekly WordPress, plugin and theme updates
- Security monitoring and automated backups
- Technical support when something breaks
- Email support with quick response times
- Proactive suggestions for improvements

Common Questions
Yes. Most business owners don’t realise how much ongoing work a website needs. WordPress, plugins and themes release updates constantly for security patches and new features. If you don’t update regularly, your site becomes vulnerable to hacking, breaks from compatibility issues or stops working properly. Maintenance prevents problems before they happen.
If your site goes down completely, I respond within 4 to 6 hours. For other technical issues, I respond within 48 hours during working days. Most problems are fixed the same day. If something breaks because of an update I carried out, it’s much easier to fix.
You can, but it is risky. Updates sometimes cause conflicts between plugins or themes. If something breaks and you have done the updates yourself, fixing it becomes more complicated and may cost more than regular maintenance would have.
Additional work is billed at £55 to £75 per hour, or you can upgrade to a higher tier package. Most clients find the right package covers their needs, but flexibility is available if you need it.
Yes. Monthly packages are billed monthly with no long-term contract. Give me notice and you can cancel anytime.
Major redesigns, new functionality beyond basic updates, full copywriting, photography and anything that requires substantial new development. These are quoted separately or handled within higher tier packages if hours allow.
